STUDY ON THE USAGE OF MALAYSIAN STANDARDS
Dear Malaysian Stakeholders,
SIRIM Berhad has been appointed as the consultant by the Department of Standards Malaysia (STANDARDS MALAYSIA) to conduct a study on the usage of Malaysian Standards (MS). The objective of this study is to ascertain and gauge the level of usage of Malaysian Standards by the Malaysian stakeholders. The study will examine and analyse the level of application and usage of all existing Malaysian Standards developed under each of the 24 Industry Standards Committees and identify factors that contribute to the usage of Malaysian Standards in the sectors.
This study uses the questionnaire survey approach for gathering data information. The questionnaire has been designed in three sets intended for three target groups:
• Government agencies (regulatory and non-regulatory);
• Non-government entities (industries and industries associations, NGO, etc.); and
• Public at large.
We humbly request your cooperation to fill in the enclosed questionnaire (survey form) and duly return it before the 30th of June 2012 to anuja@sirim.my or arifd@sirim.my or fax to: 03-5510 6389.
Alternatively, you could visit the following url address for the online survey (please choose the set of questionnaire for industry): http://kmportal.sirim.my/kmsurvey/
