World Cyber Games (WCG) Malaysia 2010 is making its
annual debut this week from 16 – 18 July 2010 at
Hall 1 & 2, Mid-Valley Exhibition Centre, Level 3, Mid
Valley Megamall from 10am – 10pm daily.
PIKOM as the Strategic Partner of WCG, first-time host to
WCG Malaysia 2010, together with Samsung, the
Worldwide Partner are proud to present this exciting
event where the best gamers in Malaysia will
competeagainst one another.
PIKOM would also like to announce the following official
list of games featured in the finals - Counter Strike, FIFA
10, Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, StarCraft: Brood
War, Tekken 6 and Guitar Hero 5.
Apart from
watching the live action as the best gamers in the
country do battle, visitors can also enjoy the PIKOM
Games Fiesta in conjunction with the WCG National
Finals. The PIKOM Games Fiesta will feature an estimated
90 booths showing off the latest in software and
hardware. Some of our well known exhibitors will be
MOL, Kaspersky and Cyberview. Online and offline
gaming companies will also showcase their most popular
products and run tournaments, such as, Asiasoft and CiB
Net who will both be organising tournaments like Sudden
Attack and Super Dancer Online Xtreme respectively.
There will be
many more exhibitors from renowned hardware
companies like Alienware, Acer, AMD and Kingston,
specialist gaming equipment manufacturers like Razer,
retailers like All IT Hypermarket and Lab Seven who will
offer tantalizing exhibits on the latest hardware to run the
most demanding modern games. Some of our very own
home-grown companies such as Telekom Malaysia and
Maxis will be available to show off their latest products
and services.
As if that isn't enough, the
PIKOM Games Fiesta will also be hosting exciting events
for those whose appetites still aren't completely whetted
from the display of the latest in games and computer
paraphernalia:
- Comic Fiesta, Malaysia's leading animation, comics and
games community, and PIKOM will be jointly organizing a
cosplay competition. An estimated 20 participants will
dress up as their favourite comic/video game/anime
characters and entertain the audience with their live
interpretation of their chosen characters. Participants will
be judged on the accuracy of their imitation.
- A Miss WCG contest, with participation from 30
female promoters
at the exhibitors' booths, and this gives you the chance
to pick your favourite promoter based not only on her
appearance but also her attitude and the quality of
assistance provided when visiting the booths.
- Lucky
draws where everyone has a chance to win attractive
mystery prizes.
There's something for
everyone, whether you're hoping to cheer on your
favourite team in the WCG National Finals, looking for
new games or hardware, participate in the many fun
activities, or just browse, so do keep the dates and
