E-Waste Recycling Campaign
(In conjunction with the National ICT moth 2009)
PIKOM together with the Department of Environment is embarking on an E-Waste Recycling Campaign with the aim to raise awareness on the need to recycle among the general public. Collection centres have been set up at selected PIKOM PCFairs to collect electronic waste for recycling.
The collection centres will operate from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Vouchers are provided to consumers who recycle their e-waste at the selected locations stated above. Only the following items are eligible for a voucher. Vouchers are courtesy of Hewlett-Packard (KL, Penang and Ipoh) and Epson (KL and Penang only).
Vouchers will only be provided for PCs, laptops, monitors, PDAs and printers. Vouchers are subject to respective terms and conditions.
For HP vouchers, desktop and laptop computers sent for recycling will be given RM 10 vouchers. CRT or LCD monitors, printers and PDAs will receive RM 5 vouchers. For Epson, each item recycled will receive RM 10 vouchers.
Only items listed above will be collected. PIKOM reserves the right to refuse collection of items as deem necessary.
