PIKOM will be launching the National ICT Month (NIM) from July 20th to August 20th 2009, with the objective of further creating awareness, generating demand, and addressing issues and opportunities presented by these turbulent times.

Among the events during NIM will be a major conference - the PIKOM Leadership Summit, exhibitions like the PIKOM Software and Services Showcase (PS³) and PC Fairs, CSR Events like the launch of an eWaste Campaign, online eShopping month, release of a major ICT strategic research report and major networking events.

AAAbout PIKOM Leadership Summit 2009

The Malaysian ICT industry is entering its next phase of growth in an environment fraught with challenges and turbulence. While the sector has expanded in size and stature and significantly enhanced its value proposition to regional customers, it needs to focus on how it can sustain its edge and differentiators in the years ahead.

The PIKOM Leadership Summit 2009, a milestone event of NIM will mark its inaugural presence in the local ICT scene from July 20th - July 22nd. It will bring together under one roof industry leaders, thought gurus, analysts, Government decision makers, academia and IT users from across Malaysia. The summit themed " ICT - Enabling New Success" will journey through two key issues-one for each day-to completely transform the experience for delegates. The summit will get flagged off with a business session centered on the 20 years of the ICT industry in Malaysia and the important learning's from the journey and means of moving forward. The summit will close with the Prime Minister launching the PIKOM National ICT Month.

Day 2 will be devoted to outlining the road ahead for the technology sector in keeping up with the latest transformational trends. The discussions will bring together speakers talking about how companies can Step up and Step on it, and define emerging technology models, strategies that need to be architected and executed by ICT organizations to succeed in the dynamic, connected world.

As the ICT industry gears up to touch RM 50 billion in FY 2008-09, it will use the platform of the Leadership Summit to discuss the new industry drivers and enablers that will take the sector forward. The aim will also be to develop a platform where Malaysian companies, customers and analysts can come together and define the strategies and challenges for the next wave.

AAAbout PIKOM PS³ Exhibition 2009

PIKOM Software & Services Showcase (PS³) 2009 will be held for the third time since last year's WCIT. The three day exhibition (July 20th - July 22nd) will run in parallel with the Leadership Summit at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and be part of the NIM initiative. PS³ will bring together business potential for sellers and buyers of enterprise software and services. PS³ 2009 aims to:

i. develop and recognize Malaysia's growing software and services industry
ii. enable participants to showcase their software and services solutions
iii. provide a platform for international ICT trade exchange

Every participating exhibitor at PS³ 2009 will benefit from this effective platform provided through the National ICT Month with high visibility and acknowledged credibility to build awareness, grow interest and stimulate desire among potential clients.
